About

Who are South Highfields Neighbours?
We are a friendly group of people who enjoy living in South Highfields, Leicester and who get together to make it even better! The group has been in existence for over 25 years but was known as HART (Highfields Association of Residents & Tenants) until October 2014.

Where is South Highfields?
The area runs from Conduit Street along London Road up to Evington Road, along East Park Road and down St. Peter’s Road and Sparkenhoe Street back to Conduit Street.

What do we do?

  • We have regular meetings which will be held until further notice at the African Caribbean Centre on Maidstone Road on the second Tuesday of every month from 7pm until 8pm. Everyone is welcome – including people who work in the area.  A member of the local policing team often attends our meetings so we can advise them of any concerns we have and they let us know what they are doing in the local area. We also discuss the many projects we run and  lobby the city council and other agencies if we have any concerns.
  • Recent projects include a street party, away days to places of interest, litter picks to improve the area and working with the city council to improve amenities such as Prebend Gardens and Onslow Park.

How can I get involved?
