Coach trip to Skegness or Ingoldmells 5th September 2015

This year we are providing the choice of a day trip to Skegness or to nearby theme park Ingoldmells. The cost is £12 for adults and £5 for children (under 16 years of age). Visit to Welford Road Cemetery 21st June 2015

One of our members is a Friend of Welford Road Cemetery and has kindly offered to give us  a guided tour of the cemetery with special emphasis on the people mentioned in our book ‘How Saxby Street Got Its name, World War One and the people of South Highfields’ – see the projects page.  If you would like to come please email us .We will meet at the visitors centre in the cemetery at 2.30pm or at the corner of London Road and University Road at 2pm to walk there.

Coach Trip to the Seaside – we went – it was a faaaannntaaaaastic day out!
On Saturday June 14th 2014 we hired an 83 seater coach to go to Skegness. Anyone who lived in the South Highfields area was able to go. The cost was £12 for adults and £5 for children. (Our local Stoneygate Ward granted us some funding to keep the costs down for children).
