Friends of Clarendon Park

We have received an invitation from the Friends of Clarendon Park to attend their next meeting (and AGM) on Thursday 26 April 2018. They inform us that non-members are welcome to attend and will be offered the opportunity to join their group at the meeting.

The guest speaker will be Professor Paul Monks of  the University of Leicester. Not only is Paul a Professor in Atmospheric Chemistry and Earth Observation Science but he’s currently Pro-Vice Chancellor and Head of the College of Science and Engineering. Paul’s research experience covers the broad areas of air quality, atmospheric composition and climate change and he’ll be talking about “Air quality and environmental pollution in Leicester” – you may have seen Paul interviewed about air quality on East Midlands today towards the end of February.
As we at South Highfields Neighbours have at our recent meeting just discussed the problem of diesel fumes from taxis keeping their engines running this topic should be of interest to everyone at SHN.
Please make every effort to attend and support the efforts of our colleagues in Clarendon Park.
